Service Description
Our Early Literacy Skills class is designed for our earliest learners, helping them build a strong foundation for lifelong reading success. This class uses an Orton-Gillingham approach, focusing on phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, and syllable work. Each lesson is explicit, systematic, and multisensory, engaging students in hands-on activities to ensure concepts stick. Sessions are designed to help children gain confidence in letter sounds, decoding, and early reading fluency. What to Expect in Each Class: Warm-Up: Brief phonological activities to engage students. Instruction: New skills introduced in a structured, step-by-step way. Practice: Fun, multisensory exercises like tracing and tapping sounds. Review: A closing game or activity to reinforce learning. Class Goals: Build a foundation in reading skills critical for future comprehension and fluency. Support new readers in mastering the basics and building confidence. Foster a love of reading from the very beginning.
